What’s inside...
Depression can be terribly difficult to deal with, but even more so when you have not been formally diagnosed. This quick depression screening is based off research primarily done by Dr. R.P. Snaith of the University of Leeds. It is designed to measure the frequency and intensity of symptoms often related to depression. Inside you will find:
- free depression assessment
- printable report you can share with your doctor
- medical and non-medical suggestions on how to treat depression
It's extremely important to know whether you may be suffering depression when you've had low moods for a prolonged period of time. Firstly, depression --- despite its debilitating nature --- is very treatable. Treatment may include anything from regular exercise, to cognitive behavioral therapy, to antidepressant medications to help ease the symptoms.
Secondly, depression which stresses the body is associated with a higher risk of nearly every major health issue from diabetes to heart disease. Indeed, depression is the leading cause of physical disability in the world!
As in all Healthism screenings, it is best if you are honest about how you are feeling precisely at this moment when taking this screening.MD Reviewed
