Vitamin D is essential for the formation, growth and repair of bones, and for normal calcium absorption and immune function. With all the new evidence proving Vitamin D's essential role in health, including prevention of many cancers, we think it's absolutely essential to know the likelihood that you may be deficient in this life-saving vitamin. Indeed, this deficiency is a lot more common than we think.

In this screening:

  • get a virtual Vitamin D risk assessment
  • get a referral for a Vitamin D blood test (no MD needed via MyMedLab)
  • print a letter for your doctor

Keep in mind that Vitamin D is primarily obtained from sun exposure when ultraviolet rays from the sunlight strike your skin and trigger its synthesis. It’s also present in a few foods including dairy products and certain fish products; although, it’s nearly impossible to get enough Vitamin D from diet just alone. Click below to find out more.
